A scientist.
A founder.
A curious human.

The work changes shape.
The curiosity stays.

LLOYD WATTS, PH.D.THE WORLD OF LLOYD WATTS
Lloyd Watts
THE PERSON BEHIND THE QUESTIONS.

AN INDEPENDENT MIND.

Looking for the connection.
Then following it.

Lloyd Watts works at the intersection of scientific understanding and technological possibility.

His background spans engineering physics, electrical engineering, and research into the human auditory system. At Caltech, he studied with Carver Mead; his work on cochlear mechanics explored both mathematical analysis and electronic models.

He founded Audience in 2000 to commercialize research inspired by human hearing, and later founded Neocortix. Today, his work spans AI attribution, machine hearing, neuroscience, and physics.

Alongside the technical work, there are paintings, photographs, recordings, and a book. They offer another view of the same instinct to explore and create.
